Company Founder

Gerald R. Wagner, Ph.D., founded Cultures in Action Corporation. After completing his Ph.D. at Iowa State University, he commenced his career as the Head of Research Statistics at a Fortune 500 company in Chicago, where he later established the Operations Research Department at the company’s headquarters. Relocating to Austin, Texas, he served as the Head of the Operations Research/Industrial Engineering group at UT, concurrently founding his first Decision Support software company, Execucom Systems Corporation. Subsequent ventures included two Group Decision Support software companies, WebIQ Corp. and Collaborative Technologies Corporation. Wagner held roles such as Distinguished Visiting Professor at Texas A&M University and Distinguished Research Fellow at the University of Nebraska Omaha, where he initiated the Bachelor of Science in IT Innovation. Additionally, he served as a Gallup Senior Scientist in Omaha, Nebraska, and initiated the Institute for Employee Wellbeing at Bellevue University. Jerry was the organizer of Workplace Wisdom and Cultures in Action conferences held in the past 5 years.
